Terms of service
The rules for using lockedin3d.com and for the custom work you request from LOCKEDIN3D. Please take a few minutes to read them.
In short
- Every purchase is made on our Etsy shop, under Etsy's terms and buyer protection.
- Pieces are made to order and every shipment is tracked.
- Custom work only starts after you accept our quote.
- Your rights as a consumer under EU and Portuguese law always apply.
01About these terms
These terms apply to your use of lockedin3d.com, the website of LOCKEDIN3D, an independent 3D printing studio based in Portugal, and to any custom work you request from us through it. By using the website, you accept them.
lockedin3d.com presents our work and our collection. We don't sell directly on this website and we don't ask you to create an account here.
02Purchases on Etsy
The pieces shown on this website are sold through our Etsy shop. When you buy, your order, payment and buyer protection are governed by Etsy's Terms of Use and by the shop policies shown on each listing, such as shipping, returns and cancellations.
Prices and stock on this website are updated automatically from Etsy. If anything differs, the price and availability shown on Etsy at checkout are the ones that apply.
03Our products
- 3D printed objects, not files. Every piece is a finished physical object. We don't sell .STL or other 3D files.
- Made to order. Production takes an estimated 2 to 3 days. When a piece is in stock, it ships the next day, and every order ships with a tracking number.
- Finish and colour. The photos and videos show the real product. Because many details are finished by hand, and screens display colours differently, small variations from piece to piece are normal.
- Replicas and fan pieces. Some pieces are replicas or fan-made designs inspired by sport, films and games. They are not officially licensed products and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the respective rights holders.
04Custom projects and print requests
- Quotes. Asking for a quote is free and doesn't commit you to anything. Each quote states the price and an estimated timeline, and work only starts once you accept it.
- Your files and ideas. When you send us a model, sketch or reference, you confirm that you have the right to use it and to have it printed. We use your files only for your project and never share or sell them.
- What we may decline. We may decline any request, for example one that would infringe someone else's rights, break the law, or produce a functional weapon or a part for one.
- Made to your specifications. Pieces made or customised to your specifications are not covered by the 14-day right of withdrawal, as allowed by Portuguese law (Decree-Law no. 24/2014). This doesn't affect your rights if the piece is faulty or doesn't match what we agreed.
05Returns
Every piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges, except when a piece arrives damaged or faulty.
If that happens, please follow the steps in our FAQ and we'll put it right at no cost to you.
This doesn't affect the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
06Intellectual property
The photographs, videos, texts, logo and design of this website belong to LOCKEDIN3D. Please don't copy or reuse them without our written permission.
Names and trademarks of third parties mentioned on this website, such as those of sports competitions, films or games, belong to their owners and are used only to describe what a piece represents.
07Using this website
Please use the website lawfully and don't try to disrupt it, misuse the contact form or send harmful files.
This website links to other sites, such as Etsy and Instagram. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them, and we're not responsible for their content.
08Liability
We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but mistakes can happen. If a clear error appears in a price or a product description, we'll correct it and let you know before any order goes ahead.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
09Complaints and disputes
If something isn't right, please write to us first at geral@lockedin3d.com. We'll do our best to solve it quickly.
You can also file a complaint in the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico (electronic complaints book). For consumer disputes, you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution entity, such as the CNIACC (National Centre for Consumer Arbitration). These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the website, our services or the law change. The version published on this page is always the current one. Changes never affect orders or quotes already agreed.
